Sparkling Starbursts of Magenta

Dainty but dazzling, old fashioned yet new, this lovely Ice Plant bears cactus-like flowers on cold-hardy sphagetti-thin foliage which also happens to be succulent. Everything about this little plant sparkles in the sunlight. It is simply gorgeous.

Salmon Bubbles

These Diascias have gone wild and their color is sumptuous. This photo pleases my inner child, evoking fond memories of blowing bubbles in the back yard. It also makes me think of Jellyfish Lake on Palau (hint: Google Image Search)

This is a fairly common summer annual bedding plant
~ Double Purslane ‘Fairytale Cinderella’ ~
but it bears flowers which possess an uncommon glow.
